I understand that Tek is going to hold a press conf to announce his retirement, also. As with Wake, another long-term member of the Sox is on his way out. I wish him (and Wake) well in retirement, whether he joins the Red Sox staff in the future or not. WAY TO GO, TEK! Thanks for your years with the Sox!
I am pleased that Tazawa is getting his tryouts again after his surgery. I hope he does well, and perhaps he’ll be an addition to the rotation. I would rather see him develop as a pitcher (starter or reliever) rather than bringing in someone like Oswalt. I’m glad we didn’t pursue that option further. I am anxious to see how Bard does in the rotation– I still have a suspicion that he’ll end up in the BP. We’ll see if he and/or Aceves fills the rotation out.
Let’s play some BALL, already! GO SOX!
