Ram Ram won't pitch Sunday
Ramon Ramirez, who was the losing pitcher on Friday night, did not pitch on Saturday. It was not just a case of rest. Ramirez was unavailable yesterday and will be again today because of an accident at his home.
He said that he banged his pitching hand on a table next to his bed.
Otherwise, Ramirez was upbeat and said he hoped to return to action on Monday.
It appears David Ortiz has settled into the cleanup spot for the Sox. he is back in there today, batting fourth. Terry Francona had said Friday that the move might have had more to do with Felix Hernandez pitching that game. But obviously Bay is in a slump and Ortiz breaks up the log-jam of righties between Youk and Bay.

Bad break for Lester, he should have been out of the inning............. OK, those red hats and all these stupid uniforms have got to go. The Red Sox are a traditional team with a traditional and very recognizable uniform. The blue cap with the red "B" says it all. I think Lester agrees.
